Poor little Aela didn’t get off to the best start in life, not only was he the runt of the litter but he was also born with two noses. Unusual, certainly, but also undoubtedly very cute!
A local family first became aware of his presence when they heard very sad meowing coming from their garden.
A special rescue effort
Knowing a little about cats and seeing how young the little kitty was, the family decided to cover him over to keep him warm but not to touch him in case his mother came back.
Sadly for little Aela, his mother never returned and the family decided to take matters into their own hands.
They took to social media to ask for advice where Aela was spotted by Ashley Keller, a volunteer at Wrenn Rescues in Los Angeles.
A perfect match
Upon collection, Ashley immediately noticed that Aela had a schisia that divided the nostrils in two (the same thing that happens with a harelip). In addition, the kitty also had a small hole in its palate and needed to be tube-fed.
Thankfully, Aela was rescued by the perfect person and is being very well looked after while he fights to survive.
He's a strong little kitty and early signs show he'll be fighting fit in no time.
We wish you a very long, happy and healthy life little chap.
