This is certainly the case for an Italian firefighter who was called onto a construction site to rescue a litter of trapped kittens.
One kitten was stuck particularly deep in the ground and no matter how much effort the team put in, it seemed as though his chances were slim.
A tedious rescue
So when one of the men finally succeeded in pulling the little fluffball out, the feelings of joy and relief could not be held back.
After gently petting the adorable little creature and looking at it warmly, the life-saving firefighter hands it over to a woman before breaking down in tears. He suddenly bursts into tears and hugs his co-worker, visibly moved by the whole situation.

And he’s not the only one who was moved! Hundreds of Reddit users have since watched and commented on the heart-warming video, sharing their thoughts on the scene:
“The heart of a real man,” wrote one.
“Did that man adopt that baby kitty? If so, can I adopt that man?” jokes another.
Well, we can’t say we disagree with that last statement. It doesn’t get much cuter than this!
