On the 18th of December, she shared her big surprise on the social media platform Reddit.
As she was signing the papers for her new home, the previous owner confessed she was very worried about the future of a stray cat who used to visit her.
A safe haven
The former owner had been feeding the cat, and he considered the house his safe haven. It wasn't long before the new homeowner met this special resident for herself.
Sure enough, the black and white cat soon came to greet her, asking for food just as he had with the previous owner. When she met him, she was amazed to see that the cat was the spitting image of her Great Dane, Tuxedo!
A purrfect match
In the caption of her Reddit post, she wrote: ”Our new house came with a cat!” As luck would have it, the new owner is a veterinary nurse, so she'll be able to take the cat to work with her for a check-up, vaccinations, and to have him neutered.
Reddit users were quick to point out that the cat is the real owner, not her: ”Your new cat came with his own house and you are welcome to stay.” Others shared similar experiences: ”Lol, my brother bought a house with a neighbourhood stray… He lives between two or three houses…” We're delighted that this stray cat has found a loving home with this kind lady and his new canine brother, Tuxedo!
