She got out of her bus and gently freed the little kitten, who was trapped in the bars of the gate.
Her paws were injured and trembling, the fur on her tail had been ripped out, and she was completely dehydrated.
A cry for help
No one knows how long the poor little kitten had been stuck in the gate. But judging by the injuries to her paws and tail, it had been for quite some time. If the driver had passed by without spotting the kitten, the story would have had a very different ending.
The driver contacted the Liberation Cat House rescue centre for help. Fortunately, the rescuers still had space at the shelter to give her the care she needed.
A new beginning
After an examination, the vet determined that although her injuries were very painful, they were treatable. The little kitten was named Sia and placed in a foster home.
After her quarantine period, Sia met Ostara, another kitten in the foster home. It wasn't long before the two became the best of playmates.
On 20th May, her foster mum announced on social media that Sia was now ready for adoption applications. We hope she finds her perfect family very soon!
