On 20th May, an Amazon delivery driver came to drop off a parcel for the family.
As he was making the delivery at the front door, the family's cat, Junie, approached the driver.
A brazen act
He looked at the cat before picking her up without a moment's hesitation. He continued to look at his electronic device, which manages orders, as if it were nothing. Then, he walked down the driveway and back to his van, still holding Junie in his arms...
The driver had just stolen the family's cat, completely unfazed. The entire incident was captured on Brenda's surveillance cameras, both at the front door and those overlooking the street. The footage shows the driver getting into his van with the cat and driving away from the house.
The search for Junie
In a Facebook post, Brenda stated that she could prove Junie had been part of her family since 2022, and that she had photos of Junie with her kittens. Brenda urged the driver to return the cat, saying he could simply leave her in the driveway and that she knew her way home.
The police have opened an investigation into "cat theft". Amazon was contacted and responded that the driver worked for a partner company that also handles deliveries on their behalf. They stated that they have also initiated a process to identify the person responsible and to find the cat.
