Orphaned kittens enjoy a private aquarium trip for a very special reason

By Elodie Carpentier•

A group of rescue kittens had the chance to explore the SEA LIFE aquarium at the Mall of America before it opened to the public, in a socialisation session that was as adorable as it was effective.

Imposing sharks, majestic rays... and tiny kittens. This was the unusual sight at the SEA LIFE aquarium, located inside the Mall of America in Minnesota, USA.

The rescue charity The Bitty Kitty Brigade organised a rather unusual outing for a group of orphaned kittens.

An underwater adventure

The little creatures were able to wander freely along the glass during an exclusive private tour. And as you will see in the video, the kittens were absolutely mesmerised by the view.

Building vital confidence

While the event might bring a smile to your face, it served a very real purpose. According to Kya Anderson, a manager at The Bitty Kitty Brigade, exposing these orphaned animals to new environments, sounds, and sights is essential for building their confidence.

By getting these kittens used to unusual situations from a very young age, the volunteers help make their transition into future adoptive homes much smoother.
