A surprising note
The Reddit user explained that he didn't know his upstairs neighbour very well, but he knew one thing for sure: she wasn't living alone! He could often hear her cat running around the flat. And he found the sound of its paws on his ceiling both amusing and comforting. So, he decided to let his neighbour know:
"Dear [name redacted] in flat 201. I need to talk to you about your cat. He or she runs around a lot. I can hear the sound of its little paws on my ceiling. It's very cute and it brings me great joy. Please tell them to keep it up."
A charming gesture
Like the 70,000 people who upvoted the post on Reddit, we were completely taken in when we started reading the note. We thought the neighbour was about to complain about the noise of the cat's paws, but it was quite the opposite! It's not every day you read a note like that.
