Rescuers demolish a concrete block: they were not prepared for what they found inside

By Ludivine Mazzotti

The Galway SPCA (GSPCA) shelter in Ireland has posted a message to alert the public about the current kitten season.

During this time, the rescue centre receives countless calls to help abandoned litters of kittens.

Recently, they rescued a family of kittens from inside a concrete wall.

A safe shelter?

The mother cat had chosen this spot to give birth to her little ones, no doubt thinking it was a safe shelter. However, it was anything but cosy and comfortable for the two tiny kittens, who were meowing loudly for help when the rescuers arrived on the scene.

To rescue the kittens, the team had to demolish the concrete. Once they were able to break through, they could rescue the little ones and bring them to safety. They named the kittens Bricks and Blocks.

Waiting for a home

Sadly, the rescuers were unable to secure the mother cat. For now, the kittens are still a little unsettled by the change of environment, but the team is confident they will soon find their paws at the shelter.

They have announced that they are accepting adoption applications for the two adorable kittens, Bricks and Blocks. We hope the kittens will find their forever family very soon.
