At home, Pipoy doesn't make a sound.
A very quiet cat
The cat is one year old, and since living with his owners, they have never heard him make a single meow.
Although he is a quiet cat, Pipoy is far from shy. He loves to give and receive affection, and always makes his family laugh with his amusing antics.
But then, completely unexpectedly, the silent cat recently broke his silence.
On 27th May, a friend came over with her own cat, hoping that he and Pipoy would become friends. It was the first time Pipoy had ever met another cat... and the first time his family had ever heard him use his voice.
A distinctive meow
It wasn't the kind of "meow" you might expect!
Instead of a typical meow, Pipoy let out a sound that was surprisingly similar to "Hi!".
Once the initial shock wore off, Pipoy's family couldn't help but burst out laughing. Unfortunately, despite Pipoy's unusual attempt at an introduction, the other cat wasn't so keen on making a new friend and kept its distance.
Still, the encounter seemed to inspire something in Pipoy: the urge to speak. His family were thrilled to finally hear him meow, but since that day... he's been completely silent again!
