When veterinarians arrived at the Sungurlu clinic in Turkey, they found the most unexpected surprise on their doorstep.
A stray cat was waiting for them with a kitten in her mouth, desperately in need of medical attention.
After a quick examination of the kitten, the vets discovered it had an eye infection. It was clear that the mum was trying to find help for her baby.
Amazing maternal instinct
"The maternal instinct of the cat to care for her kitten made us very happy and moved us", a clinic spokesperson told The Dodo.
"As veterinarians, we did our best to help this animal's health improve and recover. Veterinary medicine being a profession that requires compassion, we are committed to helping all animals, whether they are strays or pets", they continued.
