A very different future
The little cat is called Belly, and she's all grown up now. On 11th February, her human mum posted a video on her TikTok account to introduce her to her followers. In the video's caption, Torrence shared what someone told her the day she adopted Belly: "She’s the runt. She’ll stay small". The term 'runt' refers to the weakest member of a litter of mammals, who often struggle to feed and survive.
In the opening shots, the tiny kitten is seen playing on the bed with her toys. A few seconds later, the caption reads: "Still small, but big, you know?" We then see Belly as an adult, with a big belly, standing upright like a bowling pin. That person's prediction turned out to be completely wrong. The cat has grown up big and strong, and looks nothing like the tiny kitten she once was!
Viewers are in stitches
The video is particularly funny, especially with the suspenseful music that accompanies the images and the caption. The video quickly went viral on TikTok. It has already been viewed more than 6.9 million times and received 1.6 million 'likes' on the platform.
Internet users were full of praise: "Look at her! Gorgeous." They also shared similar experiences: "You’d be surprised how big those runts get. My baby was a runt and I think he’s bigger than his dad." It just goes to show, you never know how your kittens will turn out!
