Imagine seeing movement in a rubbish bin and, upon closer inspection, finding two puppies.
That's exactly what happened to a good Samaritan who immediately called an animal rescue to help.
Very poorly pups
The gorgeous pups were found in the middle of a bin full of rubbish, seemingly abandoned because of their imperfections. Both puppies had a long list of problems, including regular seizures and infections; they were also severely dehydrated and malnourished and would not have survived for much longer were it not for the kind actions of the passerby.
It seems that a callous owner, rather than seeking help or even taking them to a shelter, simply put them into a neighbourhood bin.
Fairytale Puppies
But, there is a happy ending to the story; both pups are now in care and being treated for their illnesses. Their rescuers have named them Hansel and Gretel!
The next step is for the puppies to have an MRI scan to work out the cause of their seizures. Unfortunately, the shelter doesn't currently have the resources, but they are hoping that by sharing the puppies' sad tale, they may receive enough donations to provide the pups with the treatment they deserve.
We wish both pups all the very best in life and hope that they're soon healthy enough to find a forever family who will more than make up for their rough start in life.
