In 2019, a kitten was found in the car park of a fast-food chain. Small, sick and alone, the little animal had gone unnoticed by everyone. That was until one evening, when a couple spotted her.
They couldn't possibly leave her there, so they decided to take her in for the night. The little kitten, who they named Penny, was taken straight to the vet.
A new beginning
The vet confirmed that the little animal was very weak and wouldn't have survived another fortnight on the streets.
And so, Penny's new life began. Over the years, she has grown into a happy and healthy cat.
A special tradition
And every year, her owners do something special for her. On the anniversary of her rescue, they give her a very particular gift.
Her owners buy her a meal from the very fast-food chain that brought them together for life. It's a lovely gesture that Penny certainly appreciates.
