During a walk in the forest near Rosay en Brie in Seine-et-Marne, France, about two years ago, some walkers came across a cat carrier in the middle of nowhere.
Fortunately, the walkers in question were very sensitive to animal welfare. They were actually foster carers for the Kit Cat association, which is based in Val-de-Marne, France.
Just to be sure, they went to check what was inside the carrier... and their instinct was right.
4 abandoned kittens
Inside this box were 4 pairs of round eyes belonging to kittens aged around 2 months. Dumped here like rubbish, they had bags of litter and food in their box, as those responsible for this cruel act had clearly decided to get rid of all the supplies in one go.
Clearly sociable, the little cats were able to be collected urgently and taken in by the rescue to be placed in foster homes where they could grow up safely.
Named Syrax, Drogo, Rhaenyra, and Aegon, these little souls avoided the worst and can now forget those first irresponsible humans they encountered.
