When a rescue takes an unexpected turn... As reported by The Dodo, owners of several warehouses in the United States had got into the habit of feeding stray cats in the area.
One day, a woman noticed a timid kitten wandering around the property. Although frightened, they managed to catch it and bring it to safety.
A proper little family
Hoping to find its mother and perhaps some brothers and sisters, the family decided to set up traps. Before long, they managed to catch the mother cat.
Whilst the mother was being taken to the vet, two more kittens were found nearby.
Sparkle Cat Rescue was the organisation called in to care for this little family.
The kittens were placed with a foster family. It took a few days for them to adjust to their new surroundings.
Safe and sound at last
Cindy was the one who looked after this little family. "The first thing they want to do after eating is curl up on my lap for cuddles," she says.
Today, the little family is doing very well and living far away from the streets.
