A few days ago, a driver in France was surprised to come across an Angora cat in very poor condition on the roadside in Bouches-du-Rhône.
Without hesitation, she decided to take her to the SPA in Salon-de-Provence.
A journey of 500 miles
Once there, the cat was examined and a microchip was found. The chip led the vet to the cat's owner in Sarthe, over 500 miles away!
The cat, called Poupoune, had been missing since 2014. She hadn't been seen since, and her owner obviously thought she would never see her again.
Back home at last
Delighted, Poupoune's owner was able to collect her and bring her home. She still can't believe it! If this reunion was possible, it's only because the cat was microchipped. Without it, she would never have been reunited with her family.
