As she looked out of the window, she suddenly spotted four balls of fluff racing towards her.
At first, Bita didn't understand what they were.
They beg for help
Then, she realised... They were four abandoned puppies. They were running towards her, wagging their tails with excitement. They trusted her immediately. Bita was in shock. She had no idea where they'd come from. At first, Bita thought the puppies might belong to someone in the area.
But after speaking to several people in the neighbourhood who didn't recognise them, the young woman realised they'd been abandoned. The puppies were hot, thirsty and hungry, and their ribs were visible. They clearly needed help.
Taking care of them
Bita drove the puppies to her friend's house in Austin. During the journey, the puppies were calm and quiet. For the first time in ages, they had a comfortable place to rest and someone looking after them. Bita and her friend gave them a good bath. As the puppies settled in at Bita's friend's house, their little personalities began to emerge.
Honey, the only female in the group, was calm and laid-back. Walnut was shy but loved getting lots of attention. Tiger was cuddly and chatty, and Finn was independent and playful. Good news: thanks to the power of social media, all the puppies found a family in just a few days!
