Watching the security camera footage, the cats' owner feels somewhat puzzled when she spots the young boy. Will her fears be confirmed?

The staggering number of comments from Reddit users on Norma Maikovich's video shows just how stunned viewers were by the footage. Lucky for the young neighbour, he had no idea a security camera was recording.

The camera had been installed by Norma, a former US Army veterinary assistant, out of concern for her two disabled kittens, Ramsey and Ace. That day, Ace, the one-eyed cat, was outside near the garage. When the young boy appeared with his bike, something surprising happened.

Young boy sits down near the disabled cat

Ramsey and Ace had been abandoned as babies in a rubbish bin. The little ones survived, but an infection had destroyed their eyes. Ramsey is an almost blind female cat, whilst Ace has just one eye left, though he manages brilliantly. Despite this, he often gives quite an intimidating impression to people who don't know him.

Norma watches with emotion as the young boy sits down on the pavement and tries to attract Ace. But the cat, being a typical feline, lies down a few feet away from the child and lets him approach. Then, the two begin cuddling in the most incredibly affectionate way.

Two who appreciate each other

The adorable video footage also revealed that the pair meet almost daily and that Ace the cat waits for his human friend near the garage. As soon as he finally appears, the feline immediately rushes joyfully towards the child.

When Norma saw this, she didn't hesitate to speak to the young boy. She simply wanted to tell him that he could visit Ace anytime he liked.
