That's certainly what the video filmed last year by Scout the dog's owner revealed.
For the English Springer Spaniel, the garden turned out to be almost too big!
He had other plans in mind
In the footage below, you can see a panoramic view of the garden.
Scout's mum wrote: "POV: you buy a house with a big garden so your dog has all the space to run..."
However, you don't see Scout running about in the footage.
The camera finally focuses on the pooch... who's sitting right at his owner's feet.
His enormous garden was useless to him, as long as he could spend time with his favourite human!

His mum joked about calling Scout her "clingy Spaniel", which is actually one of the breed's characteristics: they always want to be as close as possible to their humans!
Whilst the dog's behaviour surprised some viewers, Spaniel owners could have predicted this would happen:
"The revelation. All Spaniel owners knew this."
"Clingy Spaniels are real."
"I've got three, they only go out to play when we're with them."
We're certain Scout would love running around that enormous garden, if his human joined in with him!
