A heartbreaking discovery

The rescuers were in for a shock.

Tied to the crate was a mother dog with two of her puppies inside. Next to them, in a cardboard box, were two more puppies, trying to make sense of the situation.

In total, a mother and her four puppies had been cruelly abandoned, just a few steps from the shelter's front door.

The mother dog, later named Nora, was terrified of the rescuers. She was clearly distressed by her ordeal and desperately looked for a familiar face to save her and her little family.

A new beginning

Thankfully, the shelter staff acted quickly and managed to get to the mother and her babies just in time.

The rescuers then brought the little family to safety inside the shelter, giving them a chance to decompress together after such a long and stressful day.

They immediately checked the CCTV footage from the car park and discovered an unknown driver dumping the dogs on the pavement before speeding away.

After receiving a clean bill of health, Nora's puppies were soon ready for adoption.

They have all since found their forever families! As for Nora, she is now safe in a loving foster home.
