Volunteers in Romania are used to dealing with heartbreaking stories, never turning their back on a dog in need.
So when they saw a bedragled little Bichon wandering aimlessly along the side of the road, they immediately stopped to help her.
The heartbreaking truth
They took the little white dog to the vet, certain she must have an owner. But heartbreakingly, it turned out she had been abandoned by her family.
Following a vet check and some grooming, she was placed in a foster home to rest and recover.
New beginnings
Since her rescue, Charlotte - as the team decided to name her - has been thriving.
"This sweet and loving girl is a social butterfly," explained The Paw Project UK, as they shared her story to Facebook.
She is so looking forward to finding a loving home of her own, with a family who will shower her with love and spoil her with all the good things in life!" they continued.
Sweet natured and friendly, Charlotte loves everyone she meets. She would be happy living with other dogs, cats and even dog-experienced children.
She is fully vaccinated, spayed and can travel to the UK as soon as she finds the right home.
