A rescue dog who spent over a decade in a shelter has found a loving home after being treated to a luxury hotel break.

Thor, a gentle and affectionate dog, spent 10 years at the Sa Coma animal shelter in Ibiza after being found abandoned on the streets.

But despite his sweet nature, he was overlooked time and time again.

VIP guest

That all changed when Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay invited him as a special guest for its new "Tails of Talamanca" dog pampering programme. The initiative, which includes gourmet dog menus, spa treatments, and memory foam beds, aims to treat dogs like true VIPs.

Thor enjoyed five-star treatment, soaking up the sun on a private terrace and winning over hotel staff and guests alike. The attention he received, both in person and across media, led to a surge in adoption interest.

Finally home

Soon after his stay, Thor was adopted and now lives happily in the Ibizan countryside with a loving family and three new dog friends.

“After a decade behind shelter gates, he is finally home,” said Joanna Ramonell, who helped orchestrate Thor’s visit and rehoming.
