Malea, as she was later named, was discovered by a kind-hearted passerby in a heartbreaking state, malnourished, dehydrated, and suffering from severe skin infections.
Left to fend for herself, she was terrified and weak.
Plenty of love and care
The rescuer took her in, providing immediate veterinary care, soothing medicated baths, and plenty of love.
Day by day, Malea’s health improved. As she regained her strength, something miraculous happened: her fur started to grow back.
What was once bare skin turned into a soft, white coat, revealing the beautiful pup she was always meant to be.
Malea’s story took another happy turn when Andrew, a friend of her rescuer, fell in love with her and decided to adopt her. Now, two years later, she is unrecognisable from the frightened dog who once wandered the beach.
