Meet Marley, a 16-year-old Yorkipoo who brings joy to his family. Recently, his humans decided to throw a little party in their garden.
To protect their elderly dog, who struggled to get around easily, Marley's owners came up with an idea to alert their guests to his presence.
"It was the best solution"
They decided to attach a balloon to Marley's back so guests would be mindful of him.
"He loved being at the centre of the party whilst we wanted to keep him inside," Alexa Stockhasen explained to The Dodo.
The balloon "was the best solution to let him join this engagement party safely."
The balloon read: "Mind the dog". It was an idea that went down a treat with guests: "they loved it" and allowed Marley to join in the festivities.
"He didn't like being alone, so I think he preferred this, being with everyone," his owner said.
