Tense rescue on I-95

Patrol Officer J Crawford, alerted to the situation, wasted no time in removing the cat from the road’s median. She transported the animal to a local shelter, where it found a new home the very next day.

The cat’s adopters fittingly named him Fuller in honour of the location where he was rescued.

Heroic efforts of officer

The story has sparked a wave of reactions online after being shared on the police department’s Facebook page. While one commenter humorously imagined the cat asking, “AM I BEING DETAINED?” others praised the officer for her quick thinking on what many described as a particularly dangerous stretch of road.

Thanks to the swift actions of Officer Crawford, Fuller now enjoys a second chance at life with his new family.
