Lisi, who lives near a farm field and a horse farm, was accustomed to her dogs barking at wildlife.
But this continuous noise was out of the ordinary.
Surprise discovery
Stepping outside, she discovered the source of the commotion. A tiny kitten stood in the grass, looking at her dogs.
“I was a bit alarmed,” Lisi said. “The kitten was scared but also feisty.” The curious rather than aggressive dogs had calmed down by the time Lisi reached them.
She safely gathered the kitten and placed it in a crate in her garage for a closer look.
Mysterious kitten
Despite being underweight, the kitten appeared healthy. Lisi tried to find its owner by checking with neighbours and reviewing footage from her outdoor cameras, but her search yielded no clues.
“We have no idea where he came from,” Lisi remarked.
After settling in, the kitten adjusted well, quickly warming up to Lisi’s dogs. It was clear that this little kitten had found a loving forever home.
