The neglected dog’s plight came to light after a report was submitted to OTOZ Animals Inspectors in Wejherowo County, Pomeranian Voivodeship.
Heartbreaking sight
When inspectors arrived, they were surprised to find a very friendly dog desperate for human interaction. The poor pup, called Czaruś, couldn’t hide his joy and relief at seeing some friendly faces come to help him.
As they opened the gate, Czaruś leapt on his hind legs to greet them as if knowing these people were there to save him.
Czaruś let his rescuers stroke him as they surveyed the scene. It was a heartbreaking sight. The dog was chained up to an uninsulated kennel, his fur matted and bald patches visible around his nose. Shockingly, he lacked access to water.
Hope for the future
The dog was swiftly taken to the Dąbrówka Shelter, where he was finally able to enjoy warm shelter and plenty of food.
For the first time in his life, Czaruś can hope for a bright future as he waits to be matched with a loving family who will give him the love and care he so rightfully deserves.
