Coat in terrible condition

When Nino arrived at the shelter run by The Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA), France’s oldest animal protection association,  his matted fur was stuck with urine and excrement due to years of neglect. The poor dog also hadn’t been groomed for over four years.

The dedicated staff at SPA embarked on a mission to give him the ultimate makeover, and the results are awe-inspiring. He no longer looks like a grubby little sheep but a handsome dog.

SPA operates shelters across the country, with thousands of animals seeking homes. Last year alone, the association collected 45,000 pets, many of whom found loving families.

Happy ending for Nino

Nino's before and after photos are remarkable; he looks like a different dog!

Nino’s heartwarming story is just one of the many SPA shares on its Instagram, shedding light on the plight of mistreated and abandoned animals.

While at the shelter, Nino and others receive pampering, grooming, and care from compassionate staff and volunteers, aiming to restore their confidence and trust in humans, ultimately increasing their chances of adoption.

The good news is that since Nino’s story was shared online by the shelter, he has found a loving home where he will receive the care and attention he deserves.
