The dog was discovered tied to rocks in an industrial estate in the Spanish city of Córdoba.

Despite being a purebred dog, the shy-looking canine, who has since been named Lucas, has not been claimed by anyone, leaving him in dire need of a loving home. The heartless act of leaving such a young and innocent creature alone prompts questions about the cruelty of humans.
Shelter staff caring for the border collie since he was found say he’s an intelligent and loyal dog. Lucas is now looking for a responsible and caring family to give him the love, affection and security he desperately deserves.

While Lucas is a little shy around people, he displays remarkable sociability with other animals, especially dogs and cats. Despite his ordeal, the resilient collie is in remarkably good health. He’s been sterilised, and chipped, and is up-to-date on his deworming and vaccinations.
Shelter staff are urging people in the area who are thinking about adopting a dog to come and meet Lucas and consider offering him the warmth and stability that every loyal companion deserves.
