We all know that dogs are both very loyal and great company, but the story of Corchito takes the concept of companion animal to a whole other level!
This adorable pup is about 10-years-old, and he is the proud receptionist of Bar Dickens, in Chivilcoy, Argentina.
Corchito's story
Corchito lived in the neighbourhood with his family, who sadly abandoned him.
A kind lady tried to rescue him, but Corchito didn't take to his new life, and he ended up roaming the streets alone.
Over time, he began visiting Bar Dickens more frequently, where the staff would offer him any leftovers they had available.
Corchito soon became a regular at the café, and the owners accepted him as an official member of the family.
The best receptionist
These days, Corchito's welcome is the café's most distinguishing feature, with some people even travelling from afar to visit the popular pup.
Corchito is thriving in his role as receptionist, and he has made it his mission to keep lone visitors company. He happily sits with guests, enjoying the occasional treat as they chat to him over a coffee.
Corchito shares his home with two other dogs, Puccini, who is 17-years-old, and 4-year-old Manuel. At first, the owners of Bar Dickens hoped the dogs would be adopted, but they are now all much loved members of the family.
