There's no doubt that Miniature Pinscher Piper is a very clever boy.
So much so, that he managed to trick his owner Dennis Gerard, following a single incident where he stepped on a bee.
Cunning canine
Having injured his paw during the bee incident, Dennis decided to give Piper lots of treats, in an attempt to cheer the poor pup up.
But the offering backfired, when Piper immediately associated his paw with food!
The little dog proceeded to practice his trick at every possible moment, lifting his paw to fake an injury, and then waiting for the arrival of his favourite foods.
A little lesson
When he realised what his pup was up to, owner Dennis decided to play Piper at his own game.
He arranged a quick trip to the vet, where the dog would have his foot examined for any sign of injury. Piper was clearly unhappy with this unexpected visit to the vet, and he most definitely made his feelings known to Dennis.
Feeling terribly guilty for the stress he had caused his dog, Dennis couldn't help but offer Piper "a ton of treats" on their return home, confirming his place as "the weakest link in the treat chain" once and for all!
