Owner Fran Dickson, from Brisbane, Australia, booked her dog Murph in with the local groomer.
Knowing the Schnauzer-Bichon cross had knotted fur, she knew it would need to be cut short.
The uncanny image
While she may have expected the haircut itself, nothing could have prepared her for the image she would see once she got her four-legged friend back home.
As he went to rest on his favourite bed, Fran noticed that Murph had some very specific spotting on his chest. So specific, in fact, that it looked exactly like him.
An adoring reaction
Immediately alerting her husband and daughter to the uncanny revelation, Fran then took to social media to share the image. Pet lovers across the world couldn't help but comment, with one viewer claiming "looks like snowy from TinTin", while another said "this is the cutest thing I've ever seen".
With over 19k reactions, Murph's tiny self-portrait has most definitely created a stir.
