Julian Montoya proudly shares his life with Rope Daddy, who he believes is the "perfect Frenchie". Worth £95,000, he may be the most valuable dog in the world.

At first glance, you may notice Rope Daddy's silky coat or beautiful bright eyes. But for enthusiasts of Big Rope French Bulldogs, it's the wrinkles above his nose that really stand out.

This is a highly sought after trait in the Big Rope aesthetic, in addition to a small body and upright ears.

Big Rope French Bulldogs have recently gained popularity around the world, quickly becoming a sought after companion due to their unusual looks and playful, affectionate personalities.

Cause for concern

With their ropey wrinkles and compact size, Big Rope French Bulldogs are the result of very selective breeding, which looks to enhance certain traits in each litter of puppies.

As with many French Bulldogs, Big Rope dogs can suffer a number of health issues, including brachycephalic syndrome, breathing difficulties, hip dysplasia and overheating.

In addition to these more common complaints, the beloved wrinkles Big Ropes are bred for, can lead to skin conditions and discomfort, as moisture may become trapped in the folds. Spinal issues are also a concern for these muscly, little dogs, resulting in pain and even nerve damage in severe cases.

While dogs like Rope Daddy may appeal to fans of the Frenchie, it's always important that prospective pet parents consider the physical wellbeing of their new canine companion.
