Once they were alerted, officers deployed quickly along the trails to track down the hiker. Thanks to the vital clue of the dog returning to the starting point, the police were able to guide the owner back down to his loyal companion.
Thankfully, it was just a scare, and the reunited duo shared plenty of cuddles and sighs of relief. It is a heartwarming reminder that our pets often have far more resources than we think when it comes to finding their way home!
