Home alone
It's no secret that some dogs don't like being left alone at home. Some pups, especially those who experience separation anxiety, will bark and howl when their owners go out.
But what happens when a dog is howling at being left alone, only to realise they aren't the only one at home after all? Fortunately for us, a dog owner caught it all on video.
The video shows a beautiful Golden Retriever sitting by the front door in its house. The poor pup begins howling rather sorrowfully at the front door. It looks like the dog puts its whole heart into the sad tune. It would be enough to make any dog owner feel guilty for leaving their pet home alone.
Comical reaction
Except this dog's owner, Amber Matison, is home. It's just the dog doesn't seem to realise. Unbeknownst to the dog, Amber is filming the dog's soprano performance from the upstairs landing.
After several heartful howls, the dog senses something upstairs, gives a quick bark, then glances up and, to its obvious surprise, realises he's not alone.
