This Golden Retriever hates his trips to the doggy salon - and he isn't afraid to show it. Check out his hilarious reaction in the video below.

Nanners is your typical Golden Retriever. And by typical, we mean he's a bundle of pure joy and love wrapped in the shape of a dog. He's sweetness on four legs.

Unless, of course, you happen to meet him when he's suffering through a grooming session. Because Nanners hates the groomers. In fact, he really hates them.

All bark, zero bite

As soon as he sees those clippers approaching, sweet Nanners does his very best bad dog impression. He growls, he scowls, and flashes his big teeth.

Nanners puts on a tough guy act to scare off the groomer. But, sadly for him, she never takes him seriously. The groomer has been working on Nanners for years and knows he's all bark and no bite.

He's just too soft and loving to actually hurt anyone. Plus, he's a Golden, which means it's pretty much impossible for him to look mean or scary. Sorry, Nanners. But it's true.

And there's nothing you can do about it. Goldens like you were put on Earth to spread joy and happiness.

Nanners' owner shared his most recent grooming session on TikTok. The short clip shows Nanners trying (and failing) to be as scary as possible. Even Nanners doesn't really believe it.

Every snarl is followed by a look that says, "I'm sorry. You know this isn't me. I just hate getting my fur trimmed." At one point, he reaches out an apologetic paw and places it gently on the groomer's leg. This is what a dog saying sorry look like.

Perfection comes on four legs

More than 7 million people have watched and liked the video.

"So this is what an angry Golden looks like," posted one viewer. "I never knew they existed."

"The way he gets angry is so polite," wrote another. "I love Goldens."

Who doesn't love them? Nothing in this world is perfect, except Golden Retrievers. Golden Retrievers are perfect.

Wamiz advises readers to always take caution when a dog shows their teeth. While they may be the friendliest of dogs, baring teeth is a sign that they are uncomfortable, and are trying to tell you to back off. If you keep insisting, there's a chance they could bite. Dogs don't speak our language, so being able to read their behaviour is very important!
