Rambo, the Pitbull, is determined that no one will get to his human baby, even if it is the child’s parent!

While the bond between dogs and people is incredible, some pups will do anything to protect their favourite humans.

Guard pup

Rambo is a six-month-old Pitbull who takes his role as canine big brother very seriously. A video posted online shows the lengths he’ll go to protect his five-month-old human baby brother, Leo Jr.

The video shows little Leo Jr lying on a play mat on the family’s living room floor with Rambo watching on.

Then, a man approaches the little baby, and Rambo immediately notices. As the man bends down to touch the baby, the dog has none of it and pushes the man’s hand away. He then gives Leo Jr. a quick lick on the head as if making sure he’s OK.

Best friends!

As the man walks around to the other side of the play mat, Rambo watches closely before preventing the man from touching the baby again. The dog then sits in the middle of the play mat to guard the baby and ensure the man cannot get close to him. This continues for several moments until the man tries to touch the baby again. This time Rambo has had enough. He uses his mouth to move the man’s hand away. No one is touching his baby Leo Jr!

The video ends with an adorable photo of Rambo and Leo Jr. cuddling up, captioned “Best friends.”

We urge Wamiz readers to always be cautious when letting a pet play with a child. No matter how sweet pets can be, they may sometimes feel uncomfortable with a child's rough play and children can’t always pick up on that. Better safe than sorry, always supervise interactions between a child and an animal!
