Meet Brian💙

1 year old

Medium/ large Male

Available for Foster or Foster with the View to Adopt

Location: OSH, Nantwich

Meet Brian, he loves his toys especially rope toys and heavy chewing toys and can be found dancing around and keeping himself busy with them.

Brian accepts a collar, harness and lead and becomes very excited to go out for walks. He can be nervous on walks but he is learning very quickly that there is nothing to be afraid of. He walks well and loves to sniff round at all the new smells. Treats and praise encourage him lots to keep going when in a "scary situation".

Due to his young age he can get overexcited on walks which can cause him to pull but he responds well to no and will stop. His walks are getting better day by day and you can tell he definitely looks forward to them.

Brian can be nervous of new people, however he has greeted new people well here at the kennels.

Once settled, Brian is a very affectionate boy who loves lots of attention and cuddles, he thrives off human attention and needs lots of reassurance from his favourite people when he is feeling sad or scared.

Brian has been introduced to lots of new visitors since being in his new home and has been amazing with them.

Due to his nervous nature it is felt he would prefer a home with only Older dog savvy children 12+ until he is more settled.

Brian does have a very high prey drive so would need a cat free home with no small furries.

Brian has lived with large dogs who he was very good with and enjoyed their company, he has also been around larger dogs in his current home who he has been very good with he could therefore live with larger dogs following sensible introductions and a successful meet.

Brian is toilet trained and crate trained. He has never been destructive and can be left alone for up to 4 hours with no issues. He also sleeps well overnight, he can whine initially but stops very quickly and is quiet for the remainder of the night. Brian is very food orientated and loves all kinds of food and treats which is very good for his training.
