Meet Joy – A Little Girl with a BIG Personality!
Date of Birth: 2 September 2024
Location: Rescue in Ayr, Scotland
Size: Small – approximately Jack Russell size
Health: Spayed, fully vaccinated and comes with her pet passport.
Introducing Joy! Well, where do we start with this gorgeous girl? Amazing, amazing, amazing!
Meet Joy, a beautiful little brown girl with the funniest ears and a personality to match. Her name really does say it all because she is an absolute joy to be around! Joy is a confident, happy little dog who loves people and enjoys being part of family life. She has a lovely outgoing personality and isn't afraid to show it. She is affectionate, friendly and full of character, and we think she is going to make someone a very special companion.
A Little Social Butterfly Joy has already experienced life in a home environment, having previously spent time in foster care before coming into our rescue. She is great with her canine friends and could happily share her home with another suitable dog. She has also lived with children while in foster care, so she is accustomed to family life and the hustle and bustle that can come with it. Joy is not a particularly barky little dog, which is another lovely bonus! We haven't assessed her with cats, so we cannot say how she would be around them.
Out and About Joy has done some lead work and has made a good start, but she'll need some further training as she adjusts to life in a permanent family home. With patience, encouragement and consistency, she'll have the opportunity to build on what she's already learned. She is a small dog, around Jack Russell size, but she certainly doesn't lack confidence or personality!
The Home Joy Is Looking For
Joy is a lovely, adaptable little girl who we think could suit lots of different types of homes. She could potentially live with or without another dog, provided introductions are positive and any existing dog is a suitable match. We would love to find her a family who will:
Include her in everyday family life.
Enjoy taking her out on walks and adventures.
Give her plenty of love, attention and companionship.
Continue to encourage her and help her develop her skills.
Appreciate all the fun and character that comes with this little girl! Joy has already shown us what a wonderful little dog she is. She has experience of living in a home, gets along beautifully with other dogs, enjoys people and has a lovely confident nature. Honestly, she really is a little gem – and those ears are just the icing on the cake!
Could Joy Be Your Perfect Match? Joy is ready to leave rescue life behind and find a family to call her own. She has so much to offer and we think someone is going to be incredibly lucky to welcome her into their life.
