When Moose the cat met Goose, the cat, she was - how shall we say? - a 'little frosty' towards the new furry arrival. Rather than seeing a potential friend or feline sibling, Moose only saw a rival for her cat parent's affection.
So Moose's 'welcome' involved a lot of hissing and the kind of posturing that screams, "This is my turf. I'm the number cat around here. There's no room for anyone else."
Moose has a change of heart
At this point, Moose's paw-rents started thinking they'd made a terrible mistake. Maybe Moose wasn't cut out to live under the same roof with a rival feline?
And then everything changed.
Less than 24 hours later, Moose was cuddling up to her new brother. And she wouldn't stop showering him with licks and cute cat kisses. It's almost like Moose was saying, "Look, I'm sorry I was a bit of a jerk at first. But you're cool. Let's be best buds forever!"
Now, these two adorable kitties are practically inseparable. Whether it's playtime, snuggle time, or dinnertime, Moose and Goose rarely leave each other's side. They're genuine BFFs!
"After that first meeting, we were worried they'd never hit it off," says Moose and Goose's owner. "But it's amazing now. We honestly couldn't believe how quickly Moose took to Goose! Within a day she was grooming him and watching him while he slept. It's so cute!"
