A couple of weeks ago, a family in Denver, USA, dropped off an old armchair at a local thrift store.
Cat found inside old recliner
As thrift store employees started to move the armchair, they realised that something was inside. And as they looked closer, they realised it was a cat!

Thinking it was just a stray, the employees contacted Denver Animal Protection, who promptly came to pick him up. At the shelter, the cat, named Montequlla, was scanned for a microchip, but unfortunately, his information hadn’t been updated.
Lucky reunion
Thankfully, the family quickly realised that their beloved pet was gone and immediately called the thrift store to know if they had seen him. The thrift store directed them to the shelter, and within mere hours, they were reunited with their beloved Montequlla again.
