Every time Devo the dog walks by the cemetery with his owner, he runs over to the bushes.
And he’s got a very good reason to be doing so.
The magical food bush
Indeed, three years ago, Devo found a delicious lasagna dumped by those bushes. Of course, as soon as he discovered the mouth-watering pasta dish, he indulged in it - as quickly as possible before his owner could say “leave it”.
And even though it happened just that one time, you never know when the magical lasagna bush may produce a new tasty snack. So Devo checks every time, just in case.
Dogs’ selective memory
His owner posted about Devo’s hilarious behaviour on Twitter, and the post instantly went viral, with hundreds of other dog owners talking about their own experience with their dogs’ “selective memories”. Sure, they don’t remember how to do the “stay” command, but the “check the magical food bush” command they’ll remember, even three years down the line!
What was a lasagne doing in a cemetery in the first place? That’s the only thing we don’t know, but what we DO know is that Devo is definitely a very optimistic dog, who loves to look at the glass half full. We can’t blame him for that. Everyone should be more like Devo.
