Since he was two years old Thomas has had a fetish. While some cats bring home small rodents, birds and the odd reptile, Thomas delivers to the door of his owner pants and socks.
For eight years the cat has stolen from those who have without thinking hung their smalls out to dry. With utmost stealth he comes, silent, deadly, to grab the cherished unmentionables.
Clothing hoard
Owner Fiona Lewis could bear the secret no longer. After Thomas brought home a huge hoard of clothes including nine pairs of tights, she went public, and told the world of the animal she was living with.
Ms Lewis recently revealed that over the course of eight years Thomas has stolen socks, tights, pants, shirts, rubber gloves and soft toys. The moggy has even shoplifted bread from a local shop.

“At first it would just be the odd thing, like a sock or a teddy,” Thomas’s owner Fiona Lewis, 42, told the Kilmarnock Standard.
“Next door had a wee fish pond and he took all the fish out and laid them on their door step.”
