A dog carrier was sitting on the side of the road, and it seemed like there was something inside.
Indeed, once Richard got closer, he realised there was a beautiful black German Shepherd inside the crate.
A “top-notch” dog
Unfortunately, the dog seemed scared and wouldn't let Richard approach him. So Richard decided to call for help.
Rescuers were able to take the gorgeous pup to a local shelter where he was examined more closely. The dog had been fitted with a collar which read ‘Borel’. It also turned out that Borel was microchipped, with the chip going back to a German Shepherd breeder all the way in Dallas, Texas.
Borel's mysterious story
No one knows how the dog ended up there. Could he have fallen out of the back of a vehicle? Most people believe that the crate would've broken into pieces if this was the case. Was he abandoned? Again, many people are dubious. How could one abandon a microchipped and AKC-registered pooch? Then again, no one has come forward to claim Borel…
Richard and Borel's other rescuers want to solve the mystery before they rehome the dog. In any case, we know this beauty is in good hands and won't struggle to find a new home if he has to!
