When Lee Pillaro matched with Kathrine Warren on a dating app, he had no idea what their adventures would lead to!
Kathrine, it turned out, was an animal rescue worker at a shelter in Telluride, Colorado.
A cat in need of a home
During a chat with Lee, Kathrine sent him a photo of Truffles, a black and white cat around 8 or 9 years old. The poor fellow had been thrown in a skip and was missing part of one ear.
At the time, one of Kathrine's colleagues had decided to foster the cat. But the rescuers knew he needed a forever home. Kathrine knew Lee loved cats, so she sent him the photo and explained the situation.
A new lease of life
Kathrine's hunch was right: Lee decided to adopt Truffles! A month later, the cat's life was completely transformed. When he arrived at his new home, he immediately bonded with Peter, Lee's other cat.
Now, a year on, his daily life has changed for the better. He lives a life full of cuddles from his humans and fun with his feline brother. In fact, Truffles spends most of his time snuggled up next to him! We're delighted with this adoption, which was a perfect match from the very beginning!
