As they were about to get into their car, this couple had to quickly change their plans.

After returning from holiday, a couple went to the pet sitter who had been looking after their cat. Once they had collected their happy and healthy pet, the young couple headed to their car to go home. But they couldn't get in straight away, as they realised they were being watched.

An unexpected passenger

Being vigilant, the couple quickly realised they couldn't drive off just yet, as an intruder had taken up position on their vehicle.

But this was no carjacker or thief. It was an adorable kitten who had appeared out of nowhere and decided to hide in the car's chassis!

For several long minutes, the couple tried to coax the little animal out so they could get him to safety and be on their way. But a real game of hide-and-seek began.

A determined rescue

Eventually, the frightened little creature left the car, only to take refuge under another vehicle. The young couple knew they couldn't just leave him there; abandoning him would mean leaving him in great danger. So, with a lot of determination (and a bit of pâté!), they spent two hours trying everything to catch him, and they finally succeeded!

Once caught, he was taken to the couple's home for a good bath, as he was infested with fleas. He also got to enjoy a cosy bed to recover from his ordeal and soon showed his charming and gentle nature. While the young woman wanted to adopt the kitten, her partner wasn't so sure.

Luckily, it didn't take much to convince him. The kitten will now never leave his rescuers – he has found his forever home!
