Following the sound of the meows, she found herself outside the entrance to a restaurant.
It was there that she discovered a tiny kitten, curled up in a ball to keep warm in the freezing temperatures.
A shocking discovery
Without a moment's hesitation, the kind stranger scooped her up. She knew just what to do and rushed her to the Cat Care Hospital veterinary clinic. The veterinary team immediately set about warming the little kitten up. The tiny female was estimated to be around four or five weeks old.
Once her body temperature was back to normal, they were able to start her treatment for worms and fleas. The little kitten was named Boxie, in honour of the restaurant where she was found. As it happened, Sarah Kelly, the founder of Murphy's Law Animal Rescue, was at the clinic that day with another animal when Boxie was brought in. The vets asked if she would be able to take the kitten into her care.
A new beginning
Sarah agreed immediately and placed her in a warm foster home. There, Boxie enjoyed a heating pad, fresh food, and all the love her foster mum could give. As the days went by, Boxie began to regain her strength.
The little cat soon started exploring the house, making herself right at home! She loves playing games and getting cuddles from her humans. She also gets along wonderfully with the other cats in the house. Her favourite toy is a blue octopus plushie, which she snuggles up with for her naps. We wish Boxie all the very best for the future!
