Cruelly thrown from a moving car, a poor cat very nearly met a tragic end.

In Phoenix, Arizona (United States), a driver experienced a traumatic journey in November 2024. Whilst she was driving on Interstate-10, the car in front of her committed an act she never expected.

In a cruel and incomprehensible manner, the person in the vehicle ahead opened their window and threw a cat onto the road.

She couldn't avoid the animal

Positioned directly behind the car responsible for this vile act, the driver couldn't avoid the unfortunate moggy and hit him with her own vehicle.

Miraculously, the cat didn't appear to be suffering from major injuries, and he was able to move away quickly from the traffic. Worried about the animal, the driver managed to stop her vehicle to try and catch the feline. Using a towel, she succeeded in capturing the black kitten and contacted the motorway security service.

At the scene, the officer who was on duty that day was fortunately an animal lover and he decided to take this mission to heart. To ensure the moggy was safe, he quickly contacted the local rescue to arrange care.

A fortnight after the incident, the kitten named Martin recovered well from his ordeal at the Arizona Humane Society rescue.

Today, Martin's destiny is radically different. He has joined the "Working Cats" programme, which places cats unsuited to home life in locations such as warehouses, factories, or farms to help them control rodents. He can thus find an environment that meets his need for freedom, whilst allowing him to enjoy care and food.
