"Mistral deserves a medal"... As France Bleu reports, a 9-year-old Golden Retriever saved his neighbour's life.
On Wednesday 18th December 2024, Dominique, who lives in the town of Lèches in Dordogne, left her home to "turn off a small Christmas tree" that was lit up in her garden.
The Golden Retriever wouldn't stop barking
Unfortunately, she collapsed and "found herself teetering above the road in the middle of the night". She couldn't get back up. She decided to call for help. Sadly, her partner, who was on medical treatment, didn't hear her, and her nearest neighbours were out.
But she hadn't counted on Mistral, who heard Dominique's cries for help. When his owner returned home, the Golden Retriever started barking non-stop. Intrigued, the neighbour realised something was wrong and went out into the street.
That's when he heard his neighbour's calls for help. Fortunately, Dominique had no fractures, but she did have a few bruises.
Following this rescue, Dominique and her husband went to warmly thank their neighbour and Mistral.
