On 26th September, she posted a video that sparked outrage amongst internet users on TikTok.
Whilst visiting a property, she found a handwritten note taped to the front door of the house.
A warning note
The note read: "These tenants have moved out and left two cats behind. A white male and a tortoiseshell female." It warned: "Please be vigilant, call a rescue." The estate agent was shocked to learn that the former tenants had left the premises, abandoning their animals behind.
The mother cat greeted Patricia with plenty of affection. She was very loving, and the estate agent couldn't take a step without the cat rubbing against her legs. She had given birth to three kittens who also needed help. Fortunately, the agency team managed to find the cats, except for the adult male cat who was never seen again...
In need of care
The mother cat and her kittens were all in poor health. They had fleas and a worm infestation. They wouldn't have survived much longer without help. After contacting several animal rescues, Patricia finally managed to get help from the Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL) to take the feline family into care.
The kittens and their mother are currently placed in foster care together and are preparing to be offered for adoption. Good news: an employee from Point Guard Management who helped retrieve the kittens from under the house is planning to adopt one. We wish them all the very best for the future.
